Revisiting Home 2023

Revisiting Home is a durational work structured around an imagined return to the artist’s childhood house, a visit made through performance and textile in the absence of physical access. The installation unfolds across three sections, each corresponding to a temporal register: past, present, and future, functioning together as a kind of time capsule.
All materials were sourced and upcycled from the surrounding Finnish village, found rather than imported. The work treats textile as a mnemonic device: something that holds the shape of what has passed through it, and allows memory to be handled and revisited without needing to be resolved.
